Be careful who ministers to you. It’s not about being judgmental nor paean, but about being accountable to yourself spiritually, and your family. Our place of worship is still a space that helps to shape our life so we must be mindful to be in the right place. We must never stop learning for ourselves. Sistahs you must always know how to pray for yourselves, and hold your leadership accountable to the principles of your faith.

Regardless of how we may feel despite all we might be feeling, our hearts should cry, “Let God be true and every man a liar, even if that man is me.” Whose report will I believe? I will believe the word of God because His truth supersedes all other opinions, especially my own.

I’ve been able to stay in the same place for more than three months, my health issues still exist but I see improvement, my outlook on life is clearer, and I have a peaceful disposition. I’ve decided to leave the past in God’s hands and move on. There is decency and order in my life again, and church help get me to this place. I understand why it was a center point for our people…it helped us work through pain. The healing always began with decency and order.

If we want God’s best, we must be willing to do things his way and take the time to learn what that way entails. It’s quite selfish to expect God do all you ask…yet give nothing of yourself. The narcissistic attitude doesn’t move God. Take the time to get to know him, observe his way, grow in relationship with him, and stand in faith while speaking life. If this is the spirituality you believe in…follow its path. It’s a believe system, not magic.

And what is the central message of the gospel? That Christ died for our sins, He was raised on the third day and now offers those who believe a share of that same triumph (1 Corinthians 15:1-8). It’s a pretty simple message that needs no overly theatrical presentation or conversion therapy sessions. Since the work of salvation is truly a God thing the only thing that a leader should be doing is clearing all misconceptions out of our lives so that the simplicity of God’s grace and mercy can reign supreme. That, in and of itself, will change how a person self identifies.
