Farmers markets have largely weathered the pandemic, organizers say, and have even added vendors in 2021 as regulations loosen and life begins returning to normal. “It is vital that this, and all other county farmers markets, continue to feed our communities,” said Beth Irons, the Oneida County Public Market manager in an email. At the height of the pandemic, when many shopping for food and goods found empty shelves, our farmers and producers never ran out of food, Irons said.
