A TRIO of unsung Montgomeryshire residents are celebrating being recognised in the Queen s New Year s honours.
Robert Robinson, of Llanfair Caereinion has been awarded the MBE for public service and volunteer work, while Cathy Knapp-Evans of Caersws has been awarded the BEM for services to the arts in Wales.
Llanidloes-based Jeanne Olive Nuttall, Head of Service for Nutrition and Dietetics at Powys Teaching Health Board also received the BEM for services to Nutrition and Dietetics.
Mr Robinson served as clerk to Welshpool Town Council for a number of years until last year, is secretary at Llanfair Caereinion Bowling Club, a volunteer with the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway, and has also been involved in the MS and Dementia societies. ....
