New Delhi [India], May 31 (ANI): The Delhi High Court on Monday issued notice to Twitter after a petition was filed against it for alleged non-compliance of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
In its order, the high court said that Twitter has to comply with the new IT rules for digital media if they have not been stayed. During the hearing, Twitter Inc informed the high court that it has complied with IT rules, but the Centre opposed its claim.
These developments come at a time when Twitter has been embroiled in a tussle with the Indian government and the Delhi police.
