Veiligheidsregio Limburg-Noord doet met klem een beroep op nieuwsgierige mensen om weg te blijven uit overstroomde gebieden. Een oproep die de veiligheidsregio vrijdag ook al deed.
„We zien dat ramptoeristen echt de behoefte hebben om te komen kijken. Maar blijf echt thuis. Blijf uit de buurt van het rampgebied”, zegt een woordvoerster van de veiligheidsregio op calamiteitenzender L1. Ze benadrukt dat de hulpdiensten de ruimte nodig hebben om hun werk te kunnen doen en ook de kans bestaat dat ramptoeristen zichzelf in gevaar brengen.
Ook op Twitter heeft de veiligheidsregio een bericht geplaatst met dezelfde boodschap: „We zien veel mensen die bij de rampgebieden komen kijken. We verzoeken iedereen nogmaals met klem dit niet te doen en alle hulpdiensten de ruimte te geven hun werk te doen. Er gelden noodverordeningen in meerdere gebieden.” ....
