An Eastern Cape woman has written a book encouraging rape survivors not to allow their trauma and pain to bring their lives to a halt. Zisanda Nxokweni, 33, has penned her story of being sexually assaulted three times, as a child, a teenager and a young student. Racist claim at East London prosecutor's office goes to Concourt

Smoke from city dump blamed for 13-vehicle pileup on N2

Thick smoke from Buffalo City’s Berlin’s landfill site caused poor visibility and was blamed for the multiple car pileup on the N2 between Qonce and East London on Wednesday morning, but the city claimed the smoke was mist.
