It’s strange not to see vehicles stacked on Interstate 35 access roads leading into the Farm-to-Market Road 306/Creekside Crossing intersection, but that was so at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Curing the choking congestion at the State Highway 46/Interstate 35 intersection isn’t going to be fast or cheap, the Texas Department of Transportation’s study of the location says.

It might not seem so, but Interstate 35 construction north of town is beginning to take shape.

San Antonio Street Bridge  That was the case with San Antonio Street’s $4.5 million Comal River bridge renovation. When 2020 first began, the bridge had already been closed for about four months, and its scheduled reopening was expected in the fall. Instead, it reopened in mid-July.
