Fallen crypto mogul Do Kwon of Terraform Labs wants to avoid extradition to the United States and be sent to his native Korea, protesting a Montenegrin court's decision to leave the door wide open for potential extradition to the U.S.

Kwon and Terraform Labs will face a civil fraud trial in New York, while the CEO faces a possible extradition from Montenegro for criminal charges in the U.S. and South Korea.

In a letter filed in federal court in Manhattan, Do Kwon's lawyer David Patton said Kwon will not seek to adjourn the trial date, regardless of when he is ultimately extradited. Patton had made a similar pledge in January.
