Zack Malet is ESPN’s director of business development and innovation. He negotiates and manages ESPN’s third-party business agreements with a focus on strategic innovation and technology partnerships.  Since joining ESPN in 2012, he has worked in Disney Platform Distribution where he managed distribution of Disney properties with cable and streaming partners and in ESPN’s programming and acquisitions’ content strategy and college sports groups.  Prior to ESPN, he worked for sports agency, Shapiro Negotiations Institute.

Milagros Pena was worried about her 13-year-old niece, Camila.  Early last year, Camila was going through some mental health struggles. She was dealing with some problems that were weighing on her.  When the pandemic started and lockdowns commenced, things got worse, Pena said.  “She isolated herself," Pena said of Camilia. "She was always in her room. She didn’t want to eat with us at the table."  Not knowing how to get her niece out of her funk, Pena turned to Doc Wayne Youth Services, a nonprofit based in Boston that combines therapy with sports.
