Doctor Who's Bradley Walsh cast in ITV's new Darling Buds of May

The six-part series is titled
The Larkins and is based on HE Bates' book from 1958,
The Darling Buds of May. The aim of the show is to capture the warmth, optimism and escapism of the Larkin family for a modern audience.
The comedy drama has been commissioned by ITV and Walsh has been cast as Pop Larkin, while Joanna Scanlan will portray Pop's wife Ma.
