Enough is enough! Where, when and why March 4 Justice protests are taking place across Australia

Across Australia, survivors and their allies will be calling for gender equality, and justice for victims of sexual assault, through a series of protests under the banner March 4 Justice.
The focal point of the protests will be a rally outside Parliament House in Canberra on 15 March, which many people have stated they are travelling from interstate to attend.
There, March4Justice organiser Janine Hendry alongside Dr Anita Hutchison and Dr Kate Ahmad from Doctors Against Violence Towards Women, will be presenting parliament with two petitions outlining both broad and specific requests for further action. ....

'A tidal wave' of tears and rage sweeps Australia as tens of thousands rally


Thousands gathered at Parliament House for the Women’s March 4 Justice.
They gathered in every capital city and country town from Torquay (where participants used their bodies to spell out the word ‘Justice’ on the beach) to Taree, from Shearwater to Somerville, from Bunbury to Bundaberg.
It was a surprise appearance in Canberra from the 26-year-old, her first since she went public with her story.
The crowd was hushed and people sobbed audibly as she composed herself while MC Julia Zemiro angrily told cameras to back off.
“My story was on the front page for the sole reason that it was a painful reminder to women that it can happen in Parliament House and can truly happen anywhere,” a strained and visibly distressed Higgins told the crowd. ....
