Should We Also Be Concerned That "Sin Is Crouching at Your Door"?

Remember the crouching position is an offensive position that is waiting for an opportunity to attack. Are you giving sin that opportunity? For every Christian, there is a wrestling match with the sinful desires that live within us, even after we are saved.
....

How "in the Beginning Was the Word" Explains the True Nature of God

6 May
John 1:1 in my opinion is the most important verse in the entire gospel of John. When you understand what John 1:1 means you will see that it shapes the lens by which you must look at Jesus throughout the rest of the book. One of the most important truths about who Jesus is and the character and nature of God appear in these few words.

Based on his question, James is making a connection between what you believe and what you do. What you profess to believe should be evident in the way you act or the things you do.
However the verse actually asks two questions. The second question is can such faith save us? I hope there is a question rolling around in your head, because here is the one that is rolling around in mine: What is this type of faith that is connected to works that can save a person? Let’s not stop there but jump all the way in the deep end and make this really personal. Is your faith the type of faith that can save you? ....
