Update after Wigan man arrested after stolen Audi crashes in chase

A MAN from Wigan who was arrested after a car crashed into two vehicles during a police chase on Monday evening has been released under investigation. Two suspects fled from the vehicle, an Audi, which had been stolen in a burglary on Robins Lane in Sutton the day before following the collision. A police helicopter dog patrols were called and one suspect was detained in a field in Haydock. The burglary had been reported to have taken place on Sunday, June 6, between 7.45pm and 9.45pm and saw a white Audi Q3 car, an Apple Macbook Air laptop and a Tommy Hilfiger watch reportedly stolen.

TRAVELLERS have been moved on from a Weymouth park. Officers from Weymouth and Portland Police's Neighbourhood Policing Team evicted people living in an 'unauthorised traveller encampment' near Monmouth Avenue yesterday afternoon.
