Welcome back to the passing of myself you know I've been off for a while now and back again and I think back in my house my hometown. You know in many ways the Savage Nation is my village I call it The Savage Nation. But it's really the savage village is what it comes down to when I 1st created this show in 1904 I envisioned a village became a nation it's now a global nation The Savage Nation we've elected a president they are our Trump like candidates around the world now there's been a revolution in the world make no mistake about it the media of course is extremely to the left in fact some would say that socialist they'd be right if you want to define that for me go ahead Good luck some would say that communist they'd be right in the cases of the Trotskyites in the media there internationalists they don't believe in nationhood they believe in international. They believe in little girls who lecture us on subjects for which they don't of which they know nothing little girls like gratitude and Berg the Swedish brat who was caught on a train in 1st class then says she was suffering on the train it's a world of lies it's a world of lies and liars you've got one of the most evil men in history chef who should be put in prison for what he's done to this country ship has the nerve along with that corned beef with I Nadler that nebbish who wouldn't even be able to run a subway car this guy you know what shifts you know what the big lie is that you've heard all of this before I'm not going to get trapped into this all day long the big lie is that they are our ally Ukraine is our ally and they're at war and that trump withheld aid I never heard anything like this in my life he says. You can't withhold military aid from an ally at war now the last I checked we were not at war with Ukraine against the country I don't know what that country is the u. . Secondly Ukraine has never been our ally they were Nazi collaborationists in World War 2 Did you know Ukraine Ukrainians were are you people stupid that you for this stunt. Sheriff and they let these 2 creeps an ally at war they're not our ally we're not at war it's a big lie in fact the law itself is impeachable ship should be thrown out of Congress and put in prison for what he's doing bribery wire fraud Nancy Pelosi want to look at her own mirror when she throws around words like bribery and wire fraud boy would I like to have a day of sunshine in California one day of sunshine the most corrupt state in the history of the world the most corrupt state in America as California bribery and wire fraud How about Jerry Brown's $1000000000.00 train to nowhere with that money go Nancy Nancy what about the sole interest scandal of the what were they someone in your family got a $1000000000.00 from the government under Obama to build solar plants in the desert that produced less electricity that they're required to do to run a 60 watt bulb but then again I'm getting ahead of myself we're living in we're times and we can get trapped in it and outraged and angry and pissed off and have a blood pressure go up ruin our day I really don't want to do it this week is going to be another sick week because of these horrible evil people on the left these communists but they're really not communist what they are just corrupt politicians I mean let's stop calling Pelosi this and she's a corrupt politician Schaeffer's a corrupt politician and they was a stooge he couldn't run a Carvel stand in Queens. We have to listen to this all week you know there's a thing The Grinch Who Stole Christmas take a picture of that and put it on a bulletin board there's the Grinch Who Stole Christmas I make no mistake about it she's the mind behind all of this you can blame Shefa Nadler all you want she runs these little parts of us they are her little putzes she's the one behind all of this but then again I'm getting ahead of myself let me go backwards for a moment if I may there are so many stories I want to touch on I don't know where to even start with which one is the most important so many of them are important I was agitated over the weekend over the girl in New York who was killed by the 13 and 14 year old teens teens of the new euphemism you can't say the right word it seems. The youths they stabbed her and killed her now why did that story affect me so much I don't know that girl but she represented in symbolizes America she was like Miss America student from Virginia she goes to Barnard College she's also an accomplished musician and all I could think about is I heard she died of the filth and vermin who killed her and I knew I sat here they were not going to serve a day in prison but then it got even worse I woke up yesterday and I couldn't believe what I was looking at I posted it on my website Michael Savage dot com. The police union in New York who should be fired the police union Boston New York and y.p. The boy should be thrown out for what he said he blamed the young girl for getting stabbed he said she was buying pot and that's why she got stabbed and I want to ask you something and heard anything as well was this yeah I know he's a cop and he's right you're supposed to support him but the crap he's a piece of trash that police should be fired for what he did the parents have not even buried this child and he's blaming her for getting stabbed to death right outside the college saying she was scoring pot you hear this unbelievable to me that story really bothered me because I knew that in New York on the de Blasio this was not the 1st time people have been mugged outside Columbia or Barnard I know that crime a crime wave is raging in New York City because of the black hands off policies and his racism same to blast. To not trust the New York Police Department had the New York Police Department chauffeur as his child to Yale real genius Yale you hear this I wonder when those 13 year olds will be given a full scholarship to Yale or invited for a Nobel Prize in climate science or something like that but then again I'm getting ahead of myself there are so many other things I want to do and can do them all at once and I will give them to you want to time saw many groups good soundbites this week as the impeachment week again but again over the weekend I went on to periscope which is a live broadcast thing on Twitter and I gave a 20 minute. Piece of audio many of you downloaded it and watched it it's on Michael Savage dot com You don't have to go to Twitter right now and I talked about being away a dream I had a nightmare I had and God spoke to me. I talked about the news the negativity of the news and the effect it's having on all of us and how we can I'm sure on it I talked about my faith in God and why evil exists and then I talked about the coming year and what we can expect it's all on the Michael Savage dot com website I'm going to play a little bit of for you later on in the show I personally don't want to pay any attention to the impeachment show I find it to be a probably the most boring topic I could ever talk about why would I care about this topic we know the outcome this is like a drama if you study what a Kabuki drama is it's a Kabuki drama we know how it goes we know the illegitimate I will impeachment in the house and we know that the other illegitimate I in the Senate will not impeach him and so we the people have to sit and watch the schmucks play out their kabuki drama we the little people sit there and eat popcorn and ice cream and sit there in a play on one side or the other like idiots you know there are a lot of bigger problems than the putzes on the left or the pots on the right real big problems we have a runaway deficit we have an immigration situation that's out of control Trump said he would control it and to his credit he tried but one after the other these left wing communist judges overturning every last bit of his attempt to stop the flow of drugs and illegals I was going to talk about that and I will at another time can do it all at once. But I want to invite you to listen to 1st of all to call the show the phone numbers 855-4072 way to go and I will tell you those things have to change on the show for that for this show to thrive in 2020 and big things are happening and I was given a great big stations starting in January that everyone in the radio business is green with envy over they all want to be on that station including the great stars of radio but they're not on I'm on it Ok a.b.c. In Los Angeles boy will I. Look forward to being on k b c in Los Angeles I can't wait. And that's in January I'll be talking you see the beautiful part about k b c Is that all of the cats about cats have arguments about getting fat and rats and barks live their they are the gods of the media they are the gods of the media and they do not want my voice heard they have blocked me for years I was out in l.a. Years ago I was on a big station then a small station and they complained and they got me off the air same in New York same in Washington it's all politics my friend but something I've learned is that the truth has a way of finding its way to the surface in this day and age as much as I would love to be on the stations I was taken off because of politics my ratings were super high I hate people hearing me somehow on the Internet or they do a stream the show out of chaos of all or any other station or their local station and if you're not streaming it on a station you get it somewhere else so it's an amazing change in media history what's been going on of course we all want to be heard on radios in cars it's a great place I grew up on it I love it I'm one of the few people in radio actually grew up listening to radio you know do you know that I sat in my father's lap as he drove his older Sotto into Manhattan and he smoked his Philip Morris I got the secondhand smoke. And we would listen to the radio we listen to The Green Hornet other radio dramas radio is a an entertainment medium never forget it and anyone who can't entertain you on the radio belongs teaching at Harvard if they can get that job I don't care what their politics are going to that's about it I don't want to turn this into a mini bad political science class which is unfortunately what most radios become failed political science professors posing as geniuses peddling you stuff they know nothing about day and night I'm not going to do it I'm not going to do it here's what I want to do today I want to talk about the news headlines the headlines on my website I may play a piece of the periscope thing that I did about being the way a dream I had the nightmare of what God said to me in that nightmare I had an accident let me make it simple without going into details and I was harboring between life and death for about an hour let me make a very simple and as I lay there on the hospital or whatever a surgical thing I was praying and. After it was all over later that day that the great doctors there geniuses said to my wife he was mumbling to himself for an hour they didn't know I was praying said I make a show of my prayer I didn't have like a show prayer I didn't pull out a little memo book well I did was do a Christian and a Jewish prayer on a Christian prayer combine the prayer that you say as you go through the valley of death over and over and over again both in Hebrew and English for one straight hour why did I do it I don't know why I did it did it help as the doctor said to me medicine has elements to what we know nothing about he said there are mysteries in medicine I remember when I was in graduate school one of my professors said to me. I forget which one it was he said to me a wonderful man. He said to me Michael because we're all you're may talk about 970 s. I was very into nutrition at u.c. Berkeley and one of my professors ago very intelligent high in my mind said 3 Michael I've seen people have heart attacks who have perfectly clear Audrie's I've seen them die I've seen them dead with perfectly clear arteries and that really was a revelation to me. A revelation you know. So there are mysterious elements to health and disease does prayer help have you ever faced a near death experience you want to tell us about this near death experience I do that and the news right here on the Savage Nation join the Savage Nation Call now 855400 savage 4072 way to salvage the Savage Nation of sponsored by Swiss America the only company I trust with my financial future call 802892646 or Swiss America dot com shopping online this holiday season well finding the perfect gift from your computer tablet or smartphone is a breeze just a few taps and you're done but all that online shopping it could expose your personal information and leave you potentially vulnerable to identity theft and by the way you may miss certain identity threats by simply monitoring a credit like someone selling your info on a dark web or taking an online payday loan in your name or a good thing there's Life Lock they monitor your personal information and if you have a problem with identity theft they work to fix it we all know no longer prevent identity theft or monitor all transactions at all businesses but life like you see offer something that's perfect for the holidays and beyond not having to worry if identity theft happens to you please join now and save up to 25 percent off your 1st year go to Life Lock dot com Pramod called Savage that's probably called Savage at Life Lock that Com to save 25 percent off that's Life Lock dot com promise code savage. In California passed a law recently making it even harder for parents to avoid vaccinating their kids there was much news coverage one of the arguments made by those actors is the fear that vaccinations may cause autism original study making that like this long since been but that leaves the question if not vaccines cause autism a new study offers an answer to that question it is in the genes researchers analyzed data from over 2000000 individuals in several European countries between the 982000 of them over $22000.00 with autism spectrum disorder after looking at. Saying Jews to attack Trump for protecting Jews so I asked a couple of weeks ago how do people like this call themselves Jews who are so hateful and twisted that the president of the United States who was the greatest friend the Jewish people have ever had in the history of the world how can they call him an anti-Semite I do that Brian are sick and the man called and he said something to the effect that these are not Jews he said when the Jews fled Egypt strangers came along with them and then send them so the same strangers he said that is how we describe these renegades in Israel. Was shocked by the call he had a Hebrew word for I never heard anything like it I'll actually play that sound bite for you later up tomorrow we have it it's astonishing to listen to this because I'll tell you the truth when I met the president a few weeks ago or months I don't remember a time is a little bit of a compressed blur right now whenever we met whether it was on the plane or before that. Coming off. The can a few more weeks ago to listen to those. Human salamis out there with eyes wrecking our pre-crisis missed time Pre Hanukkah time Evil pure evil pure evil Nadler shift they're not doing it for America they're evil they are the true enemy of this country there's a beyond politics are ready. But as I said I had an accident was off the air did not make it to the White House I've been vital a long time ago on this beautiful Invitational of an interloper scald and begged to be invited at the last minute because they heard I was going and the interlopers enjoyed themselves they had the shrimp and the other outright. But I had an experience and I'm back from the experience and God will keep me here as long as he wants to I'm in good shape in what can I say people have things happen to them without dwelling on and I want to ask you again have you had an experience where you're hard between the 2 worlds of this world in the next San Jose Rupert Welcome to the Savage Nation I understand you've had such an experience what was it. I was. Some serious threat assessment. That 3 words that the searchers. That's a spiritual awakening for me because. I use the ballpark. Like you shared I was reading memory. So I have a lot to be thankful for in that world that's for sure is that I wish you really were listeners. You know you're the hero you know I have to I have soldier friends they're all my heroes they know that to you why the difference between I want some vital and our demise our freedom and our slavery I know that on at them on the domestic front it's the street police on the international front it's you guys without you would be slaves when you were harboring between those 2 universes of this world and the next what did you see and what did you do. Well you know what I was right in. The face so hospital. Expenses. But I was on the phone on the way hold the 1st step my mother found. There was people waiting like there's a chance but it was kind of a shocker in that. Usual mystery because it was a casket and. Oh that was that that was the vision you had as you Harvard Yes you did you pray at that time you were dying. Yes yes. I did just saying what prayer is a Christian did you did you repeat on the gurney or wherever it was what prayer were you repeating what a 1st year it had was he was in a foxhole we were getting shot. And I was a student that was fair. And everybody for joining me 'd and everything around us things for all of our you know us. That we all had of jackets and that's that was the 1st experience the 2nd level is that the one as I want you to value the shadow of death I shall not feel for the Lord is my shepherd . Yes I said that and then I said lots of prayers but I was in. Well that's interesting because that's the one that came back to me and I remember learning it in grade school it's a strange thing when we used to have prayer in elementary school that was one of the prayers we used to have to repeat over and over again in the in the school I went to in the Bronx and never offended me I used to scare me I'll be honest with you was a little kid you know kind of scares you to repeat a prayer that's what's supposed to do you know fear of God is the beginning of wisdom the French say in America it's the fear of nothing is the beginning of stupidity I thank you very much for the call you've got wild animals running in the streets of America because they fear nothing they've been taught to fear nothing by development on the left so I laid there and all that came to me was a Jewish prayer in a Christian prayer and I combined the 2. Years for Eleanor I want to know are the noir hero Israel or is our God the Lord as one Jewish people are supposed to say that in times of death or in times of fear or in times of stress when they are facing the end of their life that's all you say is the show and then I combine that with the I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil for the for the God is with what the Lord is with me that's over and over again over and over from our mumbling to myself Dr Stuart I was just mumbling on drugs to help I don't know I don't know I think it helps here I am so people have accidents much worse than I do they fall off motorcycles they get belted by a horse they can break their neck car wrecks. Gone by some pot outside been on it have you caught caught out by now don't let the gutter things happen the people some people don't come back some do come back are they better for it or they watch for it do they change their ways for the better or they become worse Jim do we have time to begin that little piece here I want to play the piece from Twitter that I did over the weekend when it was fresh to me on Saturday morning and it's not too indulgent or I wouldn't play it please listen this is Michael Savage you haven't heard from me in a while and I'm going to talk to you about something significant in my life perhaps in your eyes as well so it will be a moment I'm alone if I choose to let you know as you know radio is a dramatic medium and we all tend to overdramatize I was subjects' our lives I was significance significance of what we're talking about that's we just never forget that radio like well other forms of communication are in some ways a performance God has made it that way and what it tells you otherwise is a liar everyone is performing myself included I might prefer me to you know why I've been off the air for 10 days something happened I don't want to go into details I had a experience where it was touch and go in my life and as I lay there in the hospital I was praying to God for well over an hour as the geniuses work their magic. Later in the day they said to someone very close to me he was mumbling for the entire time that we had him in surgery. No I was praying now God bless the doctors. I guess they don't understand the power of prayer but there was a prayer for one straight hour at least it's good I don't know what we're trying to tie so I sat here not that I would dramatize the situation people are going through much worse however when things happen to you it's as worse as it can be as bad as it can be as well as you and everyone's out again the killer not arrogant everyone is not believing until they are believing that's when you're on the mat and your face is down on the map whether you're a fighter or not one that I meant was not a fight or what your situation is on that map that's when you know whether or not you believe in God and so I prayed continuously a Jewish prayer on a Christian prayer and I mutter over and over and over and over the doctors apparently didn't you know they were busy doing their job they let me sanction my story a lot that I let you know that I thought but Schenck about Leah Longo add I was really the shadow of death I shall feel and I will go for my lawyers with me and I shall not fear over and over and over it all right I'm on tour get help how do I know God works in strange ways Ok so the word humility comes up I learned many years ago 40 years ago what your military means you know really derives from the root humus I think you can put 2 in trying to gather. Earth we come from the earth we go to Earth when we're at the peak of our strength we don't believe we're mortal you miss humility now a number of years ago I wrote a book entitled God faith and reason I'm not going to preach to you from God faith and reason but apparently a new piece was written last night which is why I am out of Periscope with you this morning. At about 1 30 in the morning I jumped out of bed I had a terrible nightmare about Amazonian man a giant 7 foot tall with a nice finishing out a stone by the way stone nice This is interesting and he was like a wild creature a wild animal from another world I approached him to speak with him because I spent a lot of years in villages all over the years I've always had a gift to speak to people anywhere at any time no matter what their language was I could communicate with them it's been since I'm a child it was one of my gifts I tried to approach him it didn't work out he had a you know a large animal that's not and took my doctor Teddy snappish I don't know why demon. That is up to you I woke up and I was rather shaken it was 1 30 in the morning it's very cold out here in San Francisco this time of year and I'm complaining I like to call I don't like he I don't want to go back to sleep but I was a little intimidated to lay down a dark again and I wrote this take it for what it is because I'm going to read it to you and say goodbye and I want you to I'm not reading from anyone else's work Ok this is my work I'm not Robert Deniro I'm not a derivative talk show host Ok this is my work see my work my writing there we go take it for what it is God exists that I want you to know God exist and here is what God said to me last night I want to go back to sleep but God I keep it had next to my bed I told you the story once from when I was 15 when I learned to do that and over the years that's why I write or many things I've always written thoughts down in the middle of the night I haven't done this in many years God put the pen in my hand and the pen in my hand which is next to that that it started I started to move my hand I already. You know all times in all places the largest group of people produce people of no consequence and also there are small groups of people who produce very small groups of people who are great consequence among these are the Jewish people some spread God's Word some the word of Satan What has one and speak of God Another speak only of evil that's something only got himself can answer we're not the question God's ways only to follow God's laws could well. The evil of others it's not a grammatical error that is the word that came from God to drill out of the evil of others is to become consumed by evil thoughts which leads to evil deeds God's word is God's Word from time immemorial. It's. Humble grounded from the earth kind of thing it's the opposite of pride or arrogance the quality or state of being humble that's your military and we all have to face the fact that we will be humble one day in our life yet the media portrays fools day and night fools pretending that they can never be humbled morons rings and then those rubbing their crotches throwing money in your face blowing marijuana in your face holding a gun as though they are immortal in the lowest of humanity and yet the. It is it's true to say the very 1st time I've given you the answer deliberately so. Let me explain this music is quite often used for the t.v. Coverage of the London marathon that's what's John in Wargrave guest and he was sort of right but that is the trap you fell into because of course it was used from a film it was taken from a film and used in a film in 1966 long before the televised coverage of the London Marathon. And the name of that film was the track. Oh what a rotter I was. In Jan and Dudley the cocker spaniel. You spotted my cunning for there I was trying to give you a clue I had actually given you the answer the whole time. Well done to christen coral and put the cat from a very windy East Preston I have got it all right I'm most impressed Thank you. Hugh in Oxford's he says he has 966 run Goodwin the trap the movie star Oliver Reed I'm a session the Canadian wilderness and later used for the B.B.C.'s coverage of the London Marathon Hugh well done not a pointless answer a near perfect answer I was I thank you. There was a parable about talents wasn't May shouldn't do that you should have had to go and be involved but. I had mine you for being cautious I said a quick look at the text line. In the corporal very quick of the Mark said London Marathon 3 quarters of a point for you as well thank you both thank you Corporal hope you're getting ready for Christmas and having a jolly nice time Mark in Burford don't know the name when it comes to the marathon . Radio lades Good morning tempo excellent to have you company the canted to Christmas is with us or is the lovely Julian cassava put it in a text 1st thing this morning I'm Drew I'm feeling the full sort of Christmas looking down on me and I have to say one of the busiest mornings from you and have just sang a load getting in touch that we've had in a very long time I think somehow not as many snooze buttons being hit quite as often as they normally are on a Saturday morning so excellent if you would like a mention of be delighted to give you 181 triple 3 with the word leads at the start of the message. Why on earth Europe and when you join us on Twitter at b.b.c. Twitter because there is a pitch. I have a dog in a moment of rare relaxation who we've just taken a picture of and I'm going to introduce that dog now this is such a wonderful story it's going to warm your heart on a winter's morning it's a story of one woman and her dog her name is Amanda shore she's from Eden inlaid and she lives with a whole list of life threatening illnesses her dog list I've just met list and obviously met a mandrel small listers only got 3 legs Lister is a rescue dog but Amanda this is what intrigues me good morning how are you moaning You really reckon it's listers rescued you rather than you rescuing Mr Yes definitely so back in 2015 I was deteriorating with my health and. What told me that the doctors in the hospitals told me that I would probably no longer be able to work. And so I was still long term sick they call it and signed off as disabled. And so we decided me and my husband to go to the docs trust and look for adult because I was going to be at home and it was a better situation. To whiten it all and we packed off in November off to the doc's trust and were looking for a dog and well introduced a lister So who is this lots where Lister comes in Hays he was a 10 week old puppy and had been dropped and dumped at the docks trust in late sway of a broken leg. And. That's where we were looking for a dog and he sat on my lap as this time we cope he waiting for the vets to Iraq and he didn't whimper he didn't my you know and I think he just sat there looking at me was it love at 1st sight C'mon it was love at 1st sight definitely And what happened to the did he have for you mention a broken leg yet why isn't he got 3 so he had 4 likes when we rescued him and he had a few operations the the docs trust shed adoptions game funding. To try and save the broken leg but last year away took the decision to amputate it because he was still in pain and there was a lot of damage to that like I have to say seems extremely cheerful let's just put it out he has calmed down now he's sitting at your face yes he's full of life absolutely full of life and when we rescued him over see I was not full of life and quite poorly and slowly I gradually kept walking him and met people with dogs I joined a training grape. And slowly but surely my health improved I think hey rescued me because he gave me back my life. He shows you a life in Ca You say he's full of it he's full of energy even though he's been through a really tough stuff he's he's got everything and now I'm back full time he gave me my life a dish washing a powerful thing to say he really did. Hate. Psoriatic arthritis Addison's and severe asthma and. Each morning you go downstairs and I'm in the mornings a quite difficult year you're quite in a lot of pain with the author itis in the mornings the assman can be quite bad from lying down but you go downstairs and you see these 3 like a dog that was abandoned that just wants to work his tail and give you everything and give you all of his love and that that that might she get get Gary again do you think it actually made your health better or did it make your head better which helped your body get better I think it did by because this year I ran the Great North Run for the docs charge with the list of things. From Yes so far from a half marathon for the dogs just to race to race as much funds for them in awareness for them and because of that. Because of the Ha I'm on still running now and I run with him and. Normally I told you this is an inspirational story Stay right there we're going to meet another Amanda as well who is Amanda from the Dogs Trust Leeds so we'll meet her and we'll talk a little bit more about this astonishing story who rescued a well you had Amanda from meeting very definitely said he rescued her a lister rescued him on the show to this amazing conversation after. The. Happy. On my own. Fine. Love. My. Things people. Off But I as a really nice take on the whole concept Christmassy Leona Lewis before. It was Good morning welcome to Saturday Breakfast we are meeting Amanda Schull for meeting in Leeds and her lovely rescue dog lista Amanda has been telling us she reckons it's. Mr has rescued her rather than the other way around but what sort of dog is Lister that he's a staffy Cross we're really not really sure what he's crossed with but he's a Scot he could pay all sometimes stuff is down the way they do he's When I told my parents we were going to get a staffy cross their reaction was crying strong in that I thought that's a bit worrying at the time we were thinking of starting a family as well and they were they were very concerned but we went ahead and rescued him and he's the most loving and wonderful dog I've ever before that we had collies and he's just he wants to give everything he wants to give all of his heart and every bit of love there it is just really you saying you've got this whole bag of medical conditions which you're not going to weigh but they're in under control now but it got to the stage where you couldn't work is work important to you work is really important I think when every guy anyway people always say what you do for a living and when you can't work. That conversation is taken away so will feel the work and I work in medical research and I am now able to work at home with Lister which has given me my work back and that part of my life and you've got friends and people at work and your colleagues and that that's come back now is the stunning story we've got another Amanda here this is Amanda sands from the docks trust plays Levy to see again Amanda how I good morning what a story of an animal transforming a life it's fabulous when a dog goes into a home they come makes a massive difference and it's just it's heartwarming to hear stories all the time but this is a particular woman one when you look as well as a dog who you know you see a 3 legged dog going down the street with poor dog that never think actually that dog has turned this woman's life around what do you know not to tall but I think that helped each other just wondering fabulous job with a man have a feeling she's been quite good with it it does reinforce our messages are we talking about giving pets Christmas press. And that whole thing that I remember is still one of the you know a dog is for life not just for Christmas that whole thing is one of those slogans that has really stuck in my mind it really underlines the value of rescuing a dog that's already with us doesn't it absolutely if you can give a rescue dog a chance that is amazing obviously around Christmas we would recommend people don't give them a press and it's just the wrong time of year to take a dog into the household when there's lots of people coming and going it's a bit busy but a dog in a family is just a wonderful addition and it makes the home a real home has that message got through because over the years it is it's one of those things that I think has been a bit of an ear worm people have absorbed it or is this sort of problem there's still a slight problem people still do think about it but a lot of people are getting the message and will think oh I know we're yes we do want a dog but we'll wait till Christmas is over and maybe look in the new year good and have you got a number of people who would like a home after Christmas with you at the docks just at the moment we always do I mean we say after Christmas if somebody is having a very quiet Christmas if there's just you just maybe a couple in there the household you could take a dog into the household and so I wouldn't say never now I know you've mentioned that you're married Amanda but I did say it was love at 1st sight do you get that other Amanda Do people come in and suddenly for whatever reason they've never met these people the dogs you know met the people people know met the dogs and yet you have a bond as often happens it does. Sometimes people come in and they'll just see a dog come become politically opposite to what they thought they were coming far which is a bit similar to Amanda it's not true Amanda is we went in looking for a collie. Yes you're going to have the same of these before yes yes and how can we ended up on your lap and say he was in the manager's office waiting for the vet to arrive and he had his broken leg obviously and they isolated him away from any excitement and I think that they sort of said you know you can come and see him just to say hello. Which is how we ended up sat on my lap so you weren't going to be working you were struggling really to do a lot outside evented up being back at work and running a half mile off and yes yes he's amazing I think you're pretty good at the whole talk psychology thing too I reckon he's probably quite grateful for you I think I think we've given each other life. There we are rescuing you that's the question before you get I've got to ask you because I knew you were coming in obviously and we talk about pets a Christmas I have a feeling I may be entirely wrong I have a feeling that you may be getting Mr a bit of a Christmas present yes we are actually going to collect his presents this afternoon he's got to Christmas colors been made for him so I'm going to get them this afternoon and I think we might be getting him a new bowl as well look at that not one member but 2 Christmas colors is going to go to Christmas colors that's that's over the top that rely on what you do you buy remind us what you have at home I have a little blind cocker spaniel he will be getting lots of presents just got so the dogs at the Santa get lots of presents as well and they get a Christmas dinner we cook turkey and fresh to build some things for them. I haven't even the whole business of having Christmas dinner with your pets but they get a whole lot they do sprouts we don't give them sprouts they have carrots and things but not sprouts. Really intimate you know unless to thank you for coming in thank you another Amanda Well I story of person and dog and the transformation it's so lovely and it just makes everything worthwhile I'm so grateful to everything I'm under house dogs trust plays you can find them there on the I 64 you have ladies before you get to the wall and Amanda to have a smashing Christmas thank you I've been like the college Gail loft teatime Welcome to the show all the way from Wakefield's. Is today is to sing is teaming up 1st thing I could be a Yorkshire beer brewed in Tadcaster 2nd singer almost shares a 1st name with a comedy actor quite a wise one from the fifty's and sixty's song title for words and the song title is what you might do if you didn't have anyone to take with you to the disco and it sounds like the title of a film about Ruth to give you Christmas presents all over the place far too many supplementary clues that go on give it your worst h one triple for a start you text with the word leads when you call 080389 double 3 to. News in 9 Good morning I'm Julie Langford Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn in making fresh election pledges after their final televised head to head before the polling day labor wants to electrify all u.k. Bosses over the next decade while the Tories are promising more money for grassroots football in England as part of the bid to host the World Cup in 203037 mile fire north of Sydney can't currently be put out according to Australian firefighters in recent days several fires have combined to form what's being described as a mega blaze our correspondent Phil Mercer is in Sydney one official was saying that only flooding rain would be able to extinguish these types of fires so what the authorities are trying to do is contain the fires to bait them away from populated areas more than 2000 firefighters are on the ground supported by a squadron of water bombing aircraft Virgin trains will run its final service on the West Coast Main Line later after more than 20 years it was blocked from bidding again for the franchise Avanti West Coast is taking over another of Yorkshire's House of Fraser stalls disappears from the high street this weekend a whole bunch closed in the summer and now the Skipton one is closing its doors for good both stalls were on the closure list after the chain was bought by Sports Direct but it was thought they'd been saved Curtis manages a toy shop in Skipton town center. I think it's a massive massive shock it's just another loss to the High Street it feels like every other week now that something is closing down each week you're thinking what's it going to be this time it would worry any shop owner but the football is going to be affected when something else closes down we have lost them or not there's nothing we can do about it unfortunately and with just 2 weeks to go until Christmas shoppers across West Yorkshire are expecting crowds this weekend retail expert Catherine Shuttleworth says people are after bargains I think it will be a very busy weekend not the busiest in December but I think a lot of people will be out in the shops this weekend seen if the bargains that we saw on Black Friday and Cyber Monday of carried forward and really we can expect that the happy it may be the day of the West Yorks of what world are be but ago.

Radio against Ynys it's 5 past 12. This is your favorite local radio station do not go anywhere because we're going to be talking about yet another pantomime taking place in ground 0 in just a few minutes after a look at the weather and this is the latest update by the way b.b.c. Radio get n.z. On the station from weather well some fur or sunny intervals and isolated showers dying out overnight a top temperature of 11 Celsius throughout the Balearic a low in Guernsey of 7 below in Albany of 8 Celsius the u.v. Index is one and the visibility good occasionally moderate the wind easterly light force 2 to 3 becoming southeast moderate force for the sea evening increasing fresh force 5 perhaps occasionally strong for 6 by the end of the night but nothing like those 4 say girls were experiencing a few days ago if you can see states like to increasing moderate overnight with a low swell now what's the outlook for to morrow Saturday will I should tell you the weather mainly cloudy outbreaks of rain from around midday occasionally heavy turning sherry in the evening which is fine because your priest and you watching Strictly the top temperature in the bay do it to more when Guernsey of 10 old me 9 and the lowing and it's getting a bit cooler Guernsey the low is 6 old me $7.00 and $2.00 mores when se fresh force 5 to strong for 6 ish backing East strong for 6 occasionally strong for 7 though in the afternoon backing ne strong for 6 overnight so a summary really sunny intervals and isolated showers for the next 24 hours that's your weather Jenny candle to minus b.b.c. Radio and dancing. Ok I'm going to ask my glamorous assistant to come into the studio please Mr Hayden. Is walking manfully filled to the brim with chocolate sitting down just in the studio and I just needs to woman everybody up for the next piece we're going to be talking about pantomime Oh yes we are he's behind you who various Oh yes so you're right but I'm expecting that thanks Howard. It is. True. He. This is b.b.c. Radio you can see it's that time of year when the nights are cold and it cast dark so early doesn't it and I just thought why not get all the family together and go and see some of our islands wonderful acting talent Well this is Stephen's players are ready and raring to go for their run of Beauty And The Beast we had got Ok an earlier we've had the you theatre I'm talking about Nativity which is on we've got screwed at the performing arts it is for a small island and we've got a new listener Antony listening in from the u.k. Mainland and we've got David listening in Darby were Jenny listening in Sydney and I suspect they're marveling at the fact that we're a small population an island 12 miles by 3 a population of some 63000 people we've got so much going on we've got so much talent and everybody giving of their time to perform Christmas shows pantomimes that sort of thing is giving of their time freely they're not getting paid which really gives you an idea of our community here it is just wonderful Please join me in welcoming Georgia Harvey he's playing Belle Craig over in his stage when she's also playing her cute bells father we've got Danny Raeburn he's playing the Lord Chamberlain and the show producer Chris track and hello who. Not only to see you all 1st of all beauty and the Beast is the Disney version No it's well this is the classic classic panto. Script. Yes it's not it's not the Disney version it's the classic country script which was that this information was taken from which has been for years you know very old style family traditional pantomime that we're doing this year Ok and some of the well known songs that will be doing well we will adding we're adding some modern day songs that people will know but also some classics. That you will know when you were I've heard in beauty in the beast this is a version so we've included some of the lovely songs from that be our guest as always toy which are fantastic songs. And they sample didn't get you in the mood and that will bring people they will bring that memory of the film as well and they'll just bring the magic into it I think well I'm just trying to find the because I think on Strictly somebody is doing a dance to hold on what is it yes Gaston from beating the beats Kelvin and Covenant 80 anyone watching Strictly the studio you know. You. Personally So you know just for a little bit of inspiration you might want to watch Strictly Come Dancing this weekend because some one of the best starts is in St Louis Calvin Fletcher from Emmerdale is dancing with 80 again one of the best professional dancers I think and they're doing Americans Muth to gas down from beach in the basin it's nice you get a sense of the energy here and how do you find you're enjoying it yeah I love it I do every year it takes over your whole life it's great it's great absolutely does it involved with that Craig. I've been involved on and off we're saying Stevens in 2003 that's my my 1st plant up and up and watching the plantations I was young. So yeah on and off this is my 2nd year back after about 8 years behind and everything person Stevens So you know I'm like so many people forgive me I was always I got talk go. It came to pantomimes didn't really know much about this and Stephen's players and it wasn't until I started to work for b.b.c. Radio guns in 2001 and I made friends with one rupturing Golson who was friends with one Tristram botia who then said Come along to see this point are you missing a trick and I said we describe it she said it's iconic it's a cultural must see and see and everybody who goes to see it loves it and falls in love with the whole concept of this tiny little theatre company in a little church hall I mean you know if you've read swish of the curtain when you're younger it's in chanting It's magical in it's totally different from God orc you both do the same thing but it is totally different different people different set up and just different there's room for everybody you've got as I said the girls you fit putting on the Nativity the princess royal people putting on Scrooge and you're actually going to see as many of the other things as you cannot yet we are actually we support all the other groups Absolutely it's great that we can all support each other when we have time with fair fair is fair because I kept calling Dennis Burns from God talk Derrick. To call you Gladys. So you're listening to me talking to Gladys Harvey he's playing Belle What's it like as a row it is really really nice I don't usually go for the principal girl part but this year I had to because it was Bell's my favorite Disney princess it's been really nice I get. To be involved in with pretty much all the scene so it's really nice really full on and there's a lot of lines you know yaml you have just about how do you learn your lines i literally the more and more we block the scenes say that over and over again just speaking a run over again and if I'm really struggling I write them down I learn my lines whenever I'm in and thing by getting a tape recorder on my phone and record. The line before leaving it blank with enough time to read my line and then going on to my next line which is fine unless you work with actors who don't give you accurate. Yeah we ever had a few stronger lines and we sort of try to come up with the best way of the best way of learning them so that's a good one and sort of suggested that you can either just repeat them on to record and play them over again but that's very boring so it's I think when I say tricky one best way because it means you're most accurate I like that way but if you don't if you have somebody I have mentioning no names I have it's a nightmare but unfortunately are probably the No I because I try to what I go by lies and do it all bit c n n or go on a little bit with 100 yet often we really just plain Alfonse the inability leader well hold on the need to get well Mel the not so clever. Idea Yes And where is it taking place. It's taking place in Stevens community center so you know you're not one of the halls are you going back to really we are back to our roots we moved back a couple of years ago so it is a proper church will Panther. Like you sort of said before it's beautiful atmosphere I think because it's nice it's enclosed it's not too big you really will feel festive afterwards yes lovely f. Yeah dense participation and because it's so small the interaction for me the interaction with the audience is great you get some eye contact we have parts where where the acts the actors move into the audience as well to interact with them so you get that feeling that it's very close and we do that it's a small whole We've got a very small stage but what we can do on that stage always amazes me you know we could tell you describe the new Stevens hole to my shame Can you describe what it's like in the stage because the old ones like a typical church or wasn't it you could even smell the must Well the actual the actual hall that we perform in the area is the same it's just been revamped and so are the wars in the ceilings been lowered a bit which makes it even more intimate yeah yeah there's no must there's no more now it's very lovely and often a smell of Yeah yeah the old wooden floor still permits and court still painted on it that you can see and the stage is the original state it's been there for I don't know how long years it's just one tool stage isn't it yeah it's quite hard. And it we've got extensions that come out a bit of it and. Can you describe what it's like backstage for us it's difficult. To try and maximize space on stage we've got quite large cast shoes so trying to maximize the space on stage and being up to fit everything that we need to backstage as well as crew backstage and only having one entrance on and off the stage as well so everything's going to be timed quite well to. To make sure that we already got everything that we need on stage when it needs to be there so that we've got space to find out how much tickets where you can get tickets from what it's like to be on stage and the participation numbers are coming your way in just a few minutes after this but seriously if you haven't been to since Stevens pantomime It runs from the 6th of December to the 14th and I mean it's pretty much sold out with I think no tickets at the end of the run trying to pull them all if you can but if you can get tickets to catalog then if you want to Christmas see you promise you fall in love with Stevens because there's such an and chanting nature to the whole set up so how do you get tickets when I want to. Go to either of the best from Justin Bieber down in Shea. Spoke the deliberate mistake of already played that track this is. With Stevens plays and I was a bit distracted because I was trying to cut my website has he going to last me next don't you how you can but tickets if I click on. That but we've beaten the beast by Ron hole Click here to book tickets. It goes on to all of the performances and you've got exactly how many. Tickets are left all I can say is you better get in quickly particularly for the early performances but there are some tickets left get one sold out to the mass nailed to the 14th of December sold out I think just before the schools broke up with so please go and support this how many people can you seat in the hall. We are seating a $106.00 Ok we've taken it would be $110.00 but we had to move 4 out because we have a 3 piece Music Hall of bond as well play and. We've had to squeeze in the drummer and bass guitarist and appears in the corner so again I'm going to raise my trusty coffee cup here to all of the musicians who like the actors are giving of their time freely and I suspect some musicians might be running one production to another and you guys can't do this sort of thing without risk or director of the musicians so you know we are so lucky yeah absolutely just amazing what's the best for auk Gladys although my guess is probably when I'm still a prisoner of the beast and I love try to get the and the costume lady to make it slightly more bell like so is like a gold dress like her typical one in the Disney movie and I got the Gold Gloves the flowers on the dress it's lovely. When you go away yet so you all all of the costumes mind or some put either either already had and then she changes them or changes the size the other fantastic made of days the. Director. Is a director this year so she stepped in and brought it to Life Ok And as far as motivation is concerned Gladys he's playing Belle So George Monbiot it's really time to Gladys for today don't ask if you've just joined a long story for your motivation have you been with any beasts yourself. Well yes well I won't name names either I do yes actually have you know me both Johns John Foreman who is actually playing the beast is nothing like any of my ex boyfriends he's rather lovely pleasure How should a girl do with a beast who sort of basically get you locked up in a place they are not. Enjoying being knocked up. Oh and I've come to the station took a weird to look up. Your other curriculum Yeah you know. He's my father in the same place I mean is that what you motivation Who do you base this part on I've tried to look Maurice from the Disney film Troy and basically around the way that he has done to you will play the Lord Chamberlain talked to the cold peace no not called because Tony's. Bloom is doing Ok from someone doing. Who's the dame Mike Campbell I don't know if you few times and Ross Yeah if you got a massive sort of bigger than mine yes. Yes And then I lost a dress rehearsal it sort of set them a bit funny and they were almost by machine. So it was the movie yes it could be the other way. I was. Thinking even if some of the it's. Ok so you can get tickets from Steven players Stevens Players dot com There's a link there 14 pounds 10 pounds for children please go and support this wonderful wonderful and chanting pantomime and Big up to all of the people giving of their time freely as I've already said and if people can't get online and they want to come along how can they book any ideas there is a number on on the website as well to feign and. Do you give it would you have a Facebook page as well say any messages on the Facebook page I'm thinking story I'm thinking you have people like my mom who gets emails from Facebook and Instagram and the whole internet confused I don't like the Internet. Yet they're sending your emails and doing your face a thing. For anyone who's not online contact here we go there's any and there's an email address Ok it's 7781 yeah 439. 878 so it's double 781 who says this This is our website management guy my husband my loving husband he was very hard for us he mind us me if we absolutely can't get through the Internet called Call the number Ok the number is 781439878 that's 439878 all the numbers you're singing in the shower so we get a flavor of it and so Queen Elizabeth Queen there's a Melbourne did you see into last night. Ok well that's. Ok well but it is try and use the website go to Stevens Players dot com Peter the beast is on from 6 of December to the 14th inclusively and if you can't really can't get online then call it over 781-439-8782 George Gladys Harvey Craig go find Danny Roper and Chris track and break your leg thank you so much for timing this all right I'll take my orrible look the other side of this ranger will go along and support. You just read what happened to them if they don't go here in the naughty corner. There's a good thing you mean you know you can't hold on a minute. I'm going to turn this off because I've done it cannot trade enough to try to I have 2 fingers on one hand I think we keep going to the wrong button let's have a bit Stevie Wonder shall we instead come on and get it right. Cool . Calm. Cool and. Cool and ask. You a risk pool or. Cool ask us. Except the x. . Ask. Who actually. Cool with the Iraq . Experience. Cool. Look Like. Glue and. Glue and. glad . This is b.b.c. Radio again see I'm in studio with my glamorous assistant my chocolate filled glamorous assistant. And he's not just a pretty face he's also working tomorrow's Well I mean date guy I love walking on Saturday you know I was going to say did you draw the short straw but you love it don't you go the way you want to your sport into a big sport like a job one of this is no but you know I would give up my Saturdays to get out there into the community and see what we're doing on a sporting front most weekends in Guernsey because as we've heard all morning acting musical fear to drum are just as much happening in our sport world as on stage which is quite incredible we punch them yeah I mean just for our again our new u.k. Online listeners who stood with us and scared you off but just explain that the sports scene of the weekend sorts of things that go on and how teams are put together on a small island how it all yeah so for a small island as you probably think not too much going on in terms of sports is around $60000.00 people live here which if you're listening from the u.k. Is around the same size as Yeovil down in Somerset so that's what our sort of liken it to when to come so you have a football team that plays in the division of English football in the Bostic Southeast Division So I mean 3 or 4 of the football ake we've got a rugby team that play in the 4th tier of the English set up so until last season they're actually in the 3rd tier to wife in the Premier League and fortunately they were relegated but nearly at the top of the table so I could be going back up various of the netball teams hockey teams that will represent a softball and we've got a young girl called Tara representing Guernsey in the water polo team this weekend for the Southeast Region police are police are going to permit one Jennifer we've got a. People from the group. We've got a young girl who represents guns on the tennis court might have heard of her Heather Watson Yeah unbelievable they're amazing amazing sports women so you know we just do so well and it's not slick pleasure to tell the story. Of the one for men and women that go go go across to England or go even further afield you know right Tamil I would like my lovely listener Come on you can passive enough this morning it's time for you to do a bit of work I want you to get your phone and then I need you to think and then we need you to dial so Phone think dial get your phone think about please a name on your mind who you can think has a person who's come from Guernsey who's gone on to become a prominent national or international sports person so I mention I've started Heather Watson So there you go and I want to as many names before 1 o'clock as possible amazing to text as well the text numbers 0 double 786 that's 762-0932 just walk me quick text I want as many prominent sportspeople in this is for our new listeners online listening from the u.k. Mainland and further afield of them I did with the dog in Sacramento is with us today we got Martin Berlin Benton Sweden we've got toward Sweden as well so let me know please a prominent sports person nationally or internationally who originally came from Guernsey or thought of another one called Hester amazing Olympic gold dressage champion of course ever get right over to you please I've done to your turn so any more of a flavor of the guns you can give our new piece Yes So we we essentially go from pitch to pitch we change your most weekends when we can and trying to a different tamer different set of players or whatever so normally have a lot of commentary or at least live updates from at least one Guernsey game every weekend something we try and this weekend we're live at Footscray reporting on guns you have saved their ass or ball and football team they're playing Hastings in a game of course and Battle of Hastings pretty rubbish is what time does it start. To clock star on down there but a really tough game for say to come and join us come and hear how they got in on it b b b amazing to have you come in and actually we've got. Lots of people now from the u.k. Who followed and c f c they've got a name haven't they want to thank all the mainlanders that's it pretty obvious you know no then we've got a group of people who the mainlanders who follow Guernsey have seen whatever they're doing and they will come together every time they play say if you're into football somebody has to Jeff and go and say thank you he started he's got the 1st day Katie House point I'm asking you to text me with names of prominent sports people who originally came from Guernsey prominent I mean nationally or internationally Jeff has come up with a well known footballer let us say of course he said quote I think you just keep them coming any more I'm there was one hockey player in the past somebody phoned in with that one or text him with that one please call us names Ok but anyway I want to think what time you on air from to mark a front of a clock right from the button so I'll be on from 2 o'clock so every 510 minutes I'll be giving live updates as to how loud to get in on. Your way of seeing all the g.s.a. Action as the goal go in my voice will go up and then when they can save more force to go a bit more somber why disputes commentators always shout when it gets exciting because we're excited as well and I'll tell you why we're excited because we're well we wish we were on the pitch a lot of us in common trait or in sport in general do the job because we live our lives through the paper on that pitch was that right I was never good enough to play a sport nationally I mean I play darts and football there's a martyr not good enough to play them professionally certainly not good enough to play them from my county or country Iraq or whatever so we live our dreams through the paper on the pitch and we tell the stories as if it was us putting the ball in the now or kicking the ball through the posts or putting the hockey ball in the goal that's how we live our dreams through these people which is why personally I get so excited are so loving are putting it and how do you as a member of the b.b.c. Commentary team heard you remain unbiased a few simple things a little bit of a gripping hand really. Just keep him on to the side but you got to remember it's not unfortunately it's not name in that green shirt representing guns it's not me you know with that hockey stick in my hand it's the team out there and there's 11 other players on the pitch that have come from England or jersey or even further afield sometimes and you've got to remember that there might be listeners there chiming in to us to hear about their team as well. As any journalist we do it's important to remain neutral but we'll get just as excited if hasting score this weekend as currency Don't don't don't don't worry about if you listen in from the southeast region of England what about Darby what do you know about Darby as a football team I know a little bit about Darby it's not so far from a back home so Midlands as opposed to west on a little bit about them they're good they're Ok or they're in they're in they're in the 2nd division in England Boyd you ask them in trade it's our listener David you're from Derby Ok amazing you're. From England takes on for them so he'll be with them after Christmas so be playing for Darby Council Wayne Rooney Yeah is that a good thing yeah well I presume so he's been playing in America but of course he spent all those years at Man United and Everton so he'll be bringing in the scouts goals to Darby Darvish or David maybe Wayne Rooney might know where governance takes you go there often go from one sure it's another common Yeah yeah I don't know why he's obsessed with their own clinic scene from government Stacey were and the last time you did any dishes on the couch. Yeah no I just remember phoning me friends Jackson I got a little bit worse for wear and we decided it was a good idea to train David and his 2 sons Tom and well right just to have it last oh no the worst thing was they've just been relegated Oh no so they were really upset they live we were. Given it big and yeah they were all upset and so on the see if you had your time again young man. Which team would you play for all apply for Birmingham City. My hometown saying that the tame that mean the most to me that the tame I've got the crest tattooed on the back of my like it's home for me you know I really. Didn't hurt yeah I did yeah it did but the pain of that is no more than the pain of actually having to watch them every way Oh well done another listener text a 76 serious discussion with 2 brilliant ones see if you can guess which sport Ok Lisa Opie and Martina Munyon Wow I don't know what to show you know the sport squash are Wow Ok small teams watched Yes I think she was wasn't she Yeah thank you for that text 760 if you want some more knowledge with the name on the tax maze and of course this week we heard that Guernseys best and highest ranked men's player in history retired Chris Simpson 32 years old yes this hunger pains rocket for the final time and really start up so he's been struggling with injuries for a long time and said a couple of years ago that he was playing through the pain barrier because squash was his only income so he was playing injured trying to get a parent's face damaging his body because that was his only way of earning money isn't it unfair when you think about tennis players get paid I same thing in yeah you know ball in a similar sport but just not sponsors as have you know it's incredible so still think Ping-Pong should Brinkley's As a while after they disagree with you that acts on the big darts player never says well that's not a sport. Difference or sport isn't it you know bowls. But you wouldn't go to the island games with darts which you know maybe one day I hope to one day go to an oligopoly reform darts or maybe even be in the change he's good he's very good I'd love to you know you know different sort of game isn't it Paul ass yes he's put his name in the taxi after me doubt and he says and also World Champion well done yet thank you keep them coming please I'm after there was a hockey player. Who played in the Olympics from Guernsey were after. Prominent sports people who have made it big nationally or internationally who are originally from Guernsey So far we've had a.p. Martin one in and any more please get dialing or texting you can text me it's the easiest thing only double 786-786-2093 extension 2. Talking of Lisa a p n Martina mournin few new Yeah 8 stitches do anything big nationally or internationally I don't know of any other famous sports people you can think of that have made it big this is b.b.c. Radio you can see just before we play this piece of music Hayden just remind us you know time you're on 2 o'clock every Saturday maybe somebody goes and takes you right Arkansas in the center all the action as it happens and he's gorgeous and you can listen to him trying to be on by.
