Kenneth Jenny, Respected Real Estate Industry Vet, Dies At 66


Kenneth Jenny, a real estate industry veteran of more than 35 years and valued Inman contributor, died on Monday in Reno, Nevada. He was 66.
The cause of death was heart failure, according to Jenny’s close friend, Julie Kozich, chief real estate officer at Chase International, who was with him when he died.
Jenny was born in 1954 in the San Francisco Bay Area. He attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where he earned a B.S. in Science, Biology and Biochemistry with a focus on Medical Technology in 1977.
His real estate career began at Coldwell Banker in 1984, according to Jenny’s LinkedIn profile. At Coldwell Banker, he climbed the ranks over the course of about seven years to become COO, with all operations across North America under his purview. From there, Jenny moved on to become senior vice president and CMO of Prudential Real Estate Affiliates where he spent about three-and-a-half years, after which he became CEO and co-owner of rea ....

Austin legal tech firm Disco lands another $40 million for growth

Less than three months after it landed a $60 million investment round, Austin-based legal technology company Disco has raised an additional $40 million in debt financing, the company said.
The new financing round comes from Dallas-based financial services company Comerica, and gives Disco a combined $100 million in financing in the fourth quarter. 
Disco says it has now raised a total of $235 million since its founding, and said it has a valuation of $785 million.
The company develops products and services for use by legal departments, law firms and government agencies worldwide. ....
