Elderly 'Leaping Bandit' And Accomplice Accused In 7 Bank Heists: FBI - Oak Lawn, IL - The pair were nabbed in a midnight raid at an Oak Lawn mobile home park on Feb. 14 after robbing a Hickory Hills Chase Bank, the FBI said.
Donald “Doc” Bennett, 83, was caught and charged in the heists of a Chase Bank – and is linked to a half-dozen more -- after he was released in 2020 from his second stint behind bars, the FBI said. Bennett, of Kentucky, and Edward Binert, 55, were arrested at Binert’s Illinois home last Wednesday.
