Concerns are mounting about the lack of school places in East Cork
The principal of St Mary's High School in Midleton says they're exploring the possibility of moving the school to a new green field site that can accommodate the demand being experienced. The school which has 750 pupils is currently managing a waiting list of around 70 pupils, 46 of which have not applied to any other secondary school in September. Speaking to RedFM News principal Donnchadh O'Briain says while a short-term solution needs to be found, the problem is a long-term one and the bottom line is they need more space:
