The Southfield A&T Warriors ground four minutes off the clock, scoring on an Isaiah Marshall 11-yard touchdown run with 47 seconds left, then got an interception from Dorian Freeman with 10 ticks left to close out a 36-32 win over the two-time defending champs, Belleville, and claim their own program’s first-ever state title.
