Doug Ingle, the co-founder of the 1960s rock band Iron Butterfly and the voice behind their iconic hit “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida,” has died at the age of 78.
Doug Ingle, founding member and singer of Iron Butterfly, passed away on May 24. Ingle was 78 and the last surviving member of the psychedelic rock band.
The band's biggest hit was released as both a 17-minute version and a radio-friendly edit.
