NEW YORK Veteran local television and news executive Adrienne Roark has been named president, CBS Stations.
She will assume the post on Monday, August 2 and report to Wendy McMahon, president and co-head of CBS News and Stations.
In this newly defined role of CBS Stations president, Roark will have day-to-day responsibility for working directly with the local general managers and their teams at the ViacomCBS-owned CBS Television Network stations in major markets across the country, primarily in the eastern half of the country. CBS plans to name additional Stations presidents at a later date. ....

Cases, deaths, hospitalizations decline in past week
PORTLAND, Ore. (KTVZ) There are four new COVID-19 related deaths in Oregon, including Jefferson County s 40th death, raising the state’s death toll to 2,774, the Oregon Health Authority reported Wednesday.
OHA also reported 196 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 a.m. Wednesday,, bringing the state total to 208,637.

PORTLAND, Ore., June 14, 2021 /PRNewswire/  The Harold & Arlene Schnitzer CARE Foundation today announced $550,000 in grants to 81 nonprofits and school programs throughout Oregon. These grants were made possible through CommuniCare, a year-long leadership program that gives Oregon high school students an opportunity to learn about issues affecting their communities to facilitate a deeper commitment to social activism.
