Ogólnoświatowe parcie na autonomiczną motoryzację i nowe technologie w transporcie tłumaczone jest chęcią zmniejszenia liczby wypadków na drogach i związanych z nimi kosztów. Jest o co walczyć. Poza ludzką tragedią z wypadkami i kolizjami drogowymi wiążą się ogromne koszty. Krajowa Rada Bezpieczeństwa Ruchu Drogowego oszacowała je w 2018 r. na 55,6 mld zł, co stanowiło 2,7 proc. PKB. Na te koszty składają się przede wszystkim straty w produkcji wynikającej ze śmierci bądź niedyspozycji pracownika, straty materialne, koszty leczenia czy koszty operacyjne. Jak łatwo się domyśleć, globalnie straty są wielokrotnie wyższ ....
