Tetra Images/Getty Images(WASHINGTON) -- Inflation spiked again last month, increasing 0.8 percent in February after rising 0.6 percent in January, the latest figures released Thursday by the U.S. Department of Labor show. Compared to February of last year, the Consumer Price Index, which measures the change in prices customers pay for goods and services, is up 7.9%, marking a four-decade high. The 16th annual Redmond Kiwanis Vintner's Dinner is a go after cancellations the past two years because of the COVID pandemic. The dinner has been delayed until July 8, a Friday, at Redmond Community Church. Canoe Ridge Winery of Walla Walla will be the presenting winery, and Badger's Kitchen of Powell Butte will prepare the five-course, wine-paired meal. Police do not believe foul play was involved after the body of a 59-year-old Bend man was found in front of a southwest Bend coffee shop. On February 23rd at 05:37am, 911 Dispatch received a call from a community member who found the body near 120 SW Century Drive. Bend Fire and Rescue, along with Bend Police Officers responded to the location. The male was quickly determined to be deceased.
