BIGFOOT, the world’s first monster truck, was born in North St. Louis County at the hands of Bob Chandler. Chandler is a U.S. Navy veteran and contractor who opened the Midwest 4 Wheel Drive Center in his family’s garage after a motorcycle accident cut his construction career short. Bob enlisted the help of his neighbor and friend Jim Kramer with the creation of the car crushing monstrosity, and Kramer later became the original racer and vice president for BIGFOOT.
