Rep. Brian Mast told the Rivers Coalition on Thursday that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be announcing its new lake management plan in July and some of the ideas under consideration involve discharging water to areas other than the St. Lucie River.

"All kids are RiverKidz."  That's the message that fills the airwaves at the environmentally minded rallies and events the RiverKidz nonprofit youth organization has hosted over the past 10 years. It's a saying that inspires the collective goal of making a positive impact, said the group's director and Rivers Coalition board member Nic Mader.
