Madison County Prosecutor Nicholas Adkins says suspect John Paul Steckel was indicted on several charges, including aggravated murder, for the May deaths of 45-year-old Andrew Swindall, 45-year-old Shawn Wright, 30-year-old Jamie Lavender, and 38-year-old Leon Daniels. All four were found shot to death on May 24th at Swindall's apartment building on Jackson Avenue. Steckel is being held on a two-and-a-half-million dollar bond.
