ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Jerry Rosburg was more than three years into his retirement following a 40-year career as an assistant coach when a phone call in mid-September interrupted his morning coffee as he sat on his lakeside deck in Florida.
After assisting with game management since Week 3, Rosburg assumed interim head-coaching responsibilities this week — and he emphasized Wednesday that he believes he and the Broncos can find success over the final stretch of the year.
Some clarity of two surprise firings.
"I brought in the head coach, I brought in most of the players," GM George Paton said. "Those are my decisions. And there's no one to blame but me."
