City crews tore down 20 live oak trees at the site of the old Northwood Mall. It's a part of the project to build a new Tallahassee Police Department Headquarters and potential residential development
Assistant city manager Wayne Tedder said they will explore options to see what saving the trees will cost, but with no guarantees that the trees will be spared.
Commissioners will interview the applicants 2 p.m. Tuesday in City Hall.
The candidates are: Blueprint Attorney Susan Dawson, interim Tallahassee City Attorney Amy Toman, Duval County School District Chief Legal Counsel Ray Poole, and Gadsden County Commissioners Attorney Clayton Knowles.
The complaint says his relationship with City Hall soured after City Manager Reese Goad was appointed in 2018.
