Storms and floods couldn't have come at a worse time for farmers in New England, with the heart of produce growing season now lost.
“Emotionally, it’s the lost work that hits me in the heart, not the money. But at a certain point, it’s like, I have to pay rent,” said Dylan Zeitlyn, co-owner of Diggers’ Mirth Collective Farm, who had to lay off five crew members.
