Medford boys lost to powerhouse Somerville; girls keep on winning Medford harriers get split decision Wicked Local The Medford High School cross-country teams took on host Somerville at the Blessing of the Bay Boat House.  The temperatures were ideal for running, albeit quite windy. The Medford boys (1-1) faced probably the top team in the Greater Boston League [GBL] this year, and as a result they lost the meet, 23-37. Medford swimmers enjoy success in pool, despite COVID rules Dom Nicastro / Correspondent There’s a lot to be thankful for if you are the Medford High School swimming coach. Longtime coach Mary Judge (30-plus years) was able to navigate her team successfully through this truncated season, despite restrictions, because of the pandemic. The season didn’t start until last month. It usually begins the Monday after Thanksgiving. Her team was still able to win three of its four meets so far this season.
