NASA’s planned Mars Sample Return mission faces significant obstacles, an IG report says.
The Mars Sample Return mission is an ambitious endeavor that could see Martian geological specimens returned to Earth to search for signs of life on the Red Planet.
NASA’s Mars Perseverance rover has completed the caching of 10 samples of rock cores gathered from its Jezero Crater landing site.
Once returned to Earth in 2033, the samples will join those gathered by the Apollo astronauts at the Moon and those from other destinations.
