Indian Green Card: Green card wait time increases for highly talented Indians
Indias applicants for the EB-1 visa, intended for highly skilled workers to enter the US quickly, have been hit with a severe setback. From FY 2023, a large number of Indian applicants have faced a 10-year retrogression because of oversubscription to the EB-1 quota. Previously, applicants from India could qualify for unused visas allocated to other countries. However, foreign demand has grown, so such visas are no longer available to Indian applicants.
