The Bayou History Center helps Houma-Thibodaux area residents trace their family trees and does other research on the community's past. My beloved mom recently shared her plans to travel five hours to Buffalo, N.Y., to attend a friend’s conference. Though the weather was not always favorable, she was never concerned for her safety on the highway while traveling alone. This reminded me of her many mission trips to Asia. My mom is a woman on assignment. She is aiming to fulfill.
