FCHS Fall Sports Awards The Mules held their team awards last night. The Mules volleyball team held their awards at the Journey Church. The Ceremony started with Volleyball head coach Chet Snyder thanking the crowd for coming. He then moved to some key milestones that the team hit this season. The team finished with a overall record of 33-6 the 2nd most wins in FCHS history, BDC champs for the fifth straight time, regional champions, Emerson Robbins set the school record in kills and Rylee Edwards set the school record in assists. As far as awards go here is how it went: Freshman most improved Libby Kline, Most Improved JV Lilly Gacek (Gay-sick), most improved varsity Kate Book, Defensive player of the year Lucy Britt, Team MVP Emmerson Robbins and Lady Mule Award Kaylie Barger. FCHS Special Board Meeting Fairfield Community High School District #225 will hold a Special Board Meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, November 16 at 4:00 p.m. in the FCHS District Office. The focus of the meeting will be to approve the application of a school maintenance grant for FY23. ### IECC Board Meeting The Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Board will meet tonight at 6:15 pm at Wabash Valley College in Main Hall 101. Items up for discussion include Articulation Agreements with EIU, ISU, McKendree, and SIU. Also, up for approval are the 2022 Estimated Tax Levy Resolution, Marathon Property Tax Agreement, FY 2022 Audit, the Annual Financial Report, Purchase of two 2019 Wabash Trailers, and a Resolution to Invest in ISDLAF. The board will also enter into an Executive Session. ### Court Report 33-year-old Todd W. Ray entered an admission to violation of probation in Wayne County Court. The City of Fairfield's water department is advising that water will be shut off on East Douglas Street from S. 1st Street to SE 6th Street on tomorrow, Tuesday, October 18th and possibly Wednesday, October 19th. FNB in Fairfield expects a delayed lobby opening on Tuesday, August 23 due to installation of a new HVAC system. Lobby access will be unavailable until approximately 10am on Tuesday but drive-thru access will be available all day. The Fairfield High School Board met last night. A Budget Hearing was conducted prior to the regular board meeting. There was no public comment on the FY22 Budget and it was unanimously passed during the regular business session. Fees were approved for the 2022-2023 school year. The Technology Fee is being waived for the year due to the sound financial condition of the district. Bids will be sought to demolish property at 301 West King St. the district recently purchased the property. In the Superintendent Report, Supt. Jill Fulkerson stated that several projects had been completed including: The roof project, Sealing of the parking lot, New carpet in the Study Hall, She further said that summer maintenance was progressing and several Sports Camps were being held at FCHS.
