January 18, 2021 THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is now in possession of electronic evidence that will help identify the mastermind behind the murder of lawyer Joey Luis Wee. NBI 7 Director Renan Oliva said cellular phones were recovered from retired Colonel Edwin Layese, the alleged contractor hired to execute the murder of Wee last November. Layese was arrested by NBI 7 agents in Cebu City on Jan. 13, 2021.
