By Effingham Now The Mars Theatre in Springfield is hosting a virtual, streaming performance of Rhythm of the Dance. For $15, people will receive an email with instructions on how to access the performance. They can view it as many times as they want through March 21. The National Dance Company of Ireland, which produces Rhythm of the Dance, has teamed with the service WatchLive. The virtual event is recorded in front of an audience and features award-winning dancers, excellent musicians and foot-tapping passion. “Audiences worldwide love Irish dance and because of the pandemic are unable to watch the show in person,” said Allison Newberry, theater director. “This virtual performance will allow people to enjoy a festive Irish dance from the safety of their own homes.” ....
