Golden Cadbury's egg sells for £37,200 at auction in Stamford
A rare golden egg exceeded all expectations when it sold at auction for £37,200. Batemans of Stamford sold the collectors' piece for the second time on Friday last week. The egg was part of a nationwide Cadburyâs treasure hunt which took place in the 1980s. Greg Bateman with the Conundrum Golden Egg Twelve eggs were hidden across the country for people to find using a series of clues, but this piece was a secret 13th egg.
