The dedication of the new Craig & Lois Bauer-Newholm Zipline will be held on Saturday, June 12th at Camp Courageous. This unique zipline is the first of its kind in Iowa. Campers and guests on the new Bauer-Newholm Zipline will be riding tandem. They will be placed in a chair, strapped in with a 5-point safety harness and taken backwards 700-feet up a hill. At the top the rider will be approximately 110-feet above the ground, and be able to see for miles, before starting their zip to the bottom. At the bottom, large airbrakes will safely stop the rider(s).
