Highland Avenue in National City has been a major hub for cruisers since the 1970s. On December 12, Charger Steve jumped into his lifted Toyota, flipped on the under-chassis neon lights, and drove to meet his buddies at D’s Ribs & Wings, a block west of Highway 67 in Santee to grab a bite. “We’ve been visiting areas with our vehicles to bring some much-needed foot traffic and a huge morale booster.
