During a traffic stop which Orange County Sheriff John Mina said was conducted in the area of Pine Hills Road and Balboa, two subjects exited a rideshare vehicle — one of them armed — and a deputy fired their service weapon.
"He saw a weapon, and was in fear for his life, so he fired his weapon," Mina said.
