Justices decline to reinstate discrimination suit against AG Paxton's office
Paxton HOUSTON – The First Court Appeals affirmed today a lower court ruling opting not to reinstate an age discrimination suit against the Office of the Attorney General (OAG). Court records show Kim Coogan sued Ken Paxton and his office. Around three months later, she filed a notice of nonsuit before serving the defendants. She then later moved to reinstate the case. In response, the OAG filed a plea to the jurisdiction based on the lack of service of process and lack of jurisdiction.
