URIHARA, Miyagi Prefecture--Two Nepalese students and a bus driver were killed when a large truck rear-ended their vehicle that had stopped on the shoulder of the Tohoku Expressway here because of engine trouble, police said.
On the night of the 16th, a large truck collided with a bus that was parked near the shoulder due to engine trouble on the Tohoku Expressway in Kurihara City, Miyagi Prefecture, and died. The driver and three passengers of the deceased bus went around to the rear of the bus where the engine was located to check it, and it was found that they were apparently hit by a truck coming from behind. Police are investigating the details of the incident, believing that the three people who died were hit by the truck that rammed from behind during the inspection.
