An Aberdeen homelessness charity is desperately appealing for volunteers to help reopen its donation point.
The warehouse space opened in November, and allows the charity to store donations of food, clothing, toiletries and other essential items to support people experiencing hardship.
However, it was closed due to lockdown – and will remain so unless volunteers come forward.
Emma Bellu, fundraising and communications manager, said: “We’re hoping it will be in the next few weeks but we just need to make sure that we have the manpower. There are loads of people who are keen to donate to us, which is great, but we also need to make sure we don’t get overwhelmed.

A north-east homelessness charity has been given a cache of surplus computers from The James Hutton Institute (JHI).
Aberdeen Cyrenians, which supports those affected by homelessness and other forms of social exclusion and crisis, were given spare laptops and desktop computers this week.
Staff from JHI loaded a van filled with the surplus tech and dropped it off at its new home with the hopes of aiding the charity’s mission to support the local community.

An Aberdeen homelessness charity has thanked supermarket customers for their sock donations.
Aldi customers donated socks as part of the supermarket’s ‘Not Socks Again’ appeal which supported the vital work of three homelessness charities – Aberdeen Cyrenians, Simon Community Scotland and Trust in Fife.
Big-hearted Aldi shoppers donated more than 2,000 unused pairs of socks to the supermarket’s homelessness appeal.
Sock Amnesty boxes were placed in all 96 Scottish Aldi stores between Boxing Day and the end of January for customers to drop off any extra and unused socks they received over Christmas.
Emma Bellu, fundraising and community manager at Aberdeen Cyrenians, said: “This is a brilliant result and we can’t thank Aldi’s incredibly generous customers enough.
