The bill for Biden's border crisis is coming due — and we're all on the hook

One thing is abundantly evident: Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and this administration are not serious about border security. While the testimonies of the men and women who have appeared before this committee have demonstrated the immense human cost of the border crisis, our latest report demonstrates the consequences also constitute a debilitating financial bill that is now coming due for the smallest border town all the way to the Big Apple.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott met on Saturday with a contingent of Texas sheriffs to discuss their concerns about the current border crisis’s impact on counties within the state. According to Abbott, the necessity of such workshops is caused by the current administration’s abandonment of efforts to enforce immigration laws that were passed by the United States Congress.
Governor Abbott heard commentary from several sheriffs from different regions of the state who expressed concern with the increasing levels of arrests made in connection to the current migrant surge along the border. Issues discussed also included the heightened level of danger to the public as a result of high-speed pursuits on Texas highways.

Texas sheriffs and ICE officers sue Biden for not deporting criminal illegal immigrants

Print this article
Texas sheriffs have filed a lawsuit accusing the Biden administration of preventing federal officials from arresting or deporting criminal illegal immigrants.
The suit comes after Immigration and Customs Enforcement refused to take custody and deport illegal immigrants arrested locally due to a new Biden administration policy, including one man who had previously been deported and who had been convicted of sexual battery of a child.
Five counties and five sheriff’s departments, along with ICE employees from a national law enforcement organization, filed a complaint in the federal court of the Southern District of Texas Thursday afternoon. The complaint alleges the decision by President Joe Biden and Department of Homeland Security officials has enticed criminals to illegally immigrate to the United States, affecting local law enforcement operations and communities.

Texas sheriffs, Federal Police Foundation sue Biden, feds over immigration policy

(The Center Square) – Several Texas sheriffs and the Federal Police Foundation sued President Joe Biden Thursday for what they say is his administration’s “unlawful and unconstitutional” policies related to removing criminal illegal immigrants from the country.
The counties and their sheriffs filing the lawsuit include Kinney County Sheriff Brad Coe, Montgomery County Sheriff Rand Henderson, Edwards County Sheriff J.W. Guthrie, McMullen County Sheriff Emmett Shelton, Hudspeth County Sheriff Arvin West, Galveston County, and the Federal Police Foundation-ICE Officers Division. More counties are expected to join the lawsuit.
They filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District, Galveston Division, represented by Kris Kobach, the former attorney general of Kansas, with Alliance for Free Citizens, Kinney County Attorney Brent Smith, and Chris Hajec with the Immigration Reform Law Institute.

Texas Sheriffs Sue President Biden for Limiting Deportations

The sheriffs claim the deportation dial back has increased their crime-response costs because undocumented immigrants who are released from jail commit more crimes.

GALVESTON, Texas (CN) — Four Texas sheriffs and an association of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers sued the Biden administration Thursday, claiming its policy limiting ICE from taking most arrested immigrants into custody for deportation is allowing “extremely dangerous illegal aliens” to be released onto the streets.
