OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond on Wednesday filed suits against several companies alleging they inflated prices during Winter Storm Uri in 2021.
In a press release, the Oklahoma AG’s Office said Enable and Symmetry employed “a variety of tactics to drive up the index prices, including reduction of supply and submitting trades at unconscionable price levels” to charge GRDA exorbitant fees “dictated by the artificially inflated index prices.”
AG alleges the companies artificially reduced gas supplies before storm hit.
Attorney General Gentner Drummond believes that some companies profited illegally during the storm and that it is important to hold them accountable. More suits could be filed.
