Encore Care Homes welcomes Dorset hospital patients

Patients from hospitals in Dorset who have been transferred to Encore Care Homes for specialist care have praised the support they have received from the staff.
Residents who were non-Covid hospital admissions have been welcomed into Encore Care Homes, after a negative Covid test result.
They have been receiving temporary care through a partnership with the NHS to reduce the pressure on hospitals.
Peggy Aedy, 78, who arrived at Great Oaks in January from Bournemouth Hospital, said: “I had choked on my food, which is why I went into hospital. I live by myself with the help of carers coming in three times a day. The staff at Great Oaks have been very helpful. ....

THE NHS in Dorset has called on a specialist elderly care provider for help as hospital beds fill with Covid patients.
Encore Care Homes has partnered with the NHS to temporarily take extra non-Covid residents at short notice as pressure increases on hospital staff.
The firm is now looking for more than 500 people with adult social care experience to join the newly-formed, not-for-profit care agency, Care Club.
A range of roles are available including registered nurses, care practitioners, senior healthcare assistants and healthcare assistants based in Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch.
Care Club members will ensure the delivery of personalised continuity of care to the residents. ....

Encore Care Home staff given badges to recognise pandemic efforts

A NEW badge to recognise the work of adult social care has been awarded to every member of Christchurch based care provider Fairmile Grange.
The green badges from the Department of Health and Social Care are free to staff to help provide greater recognition of their work day-to-day and particularly their extra efforts throughout the Covid pandemic.
Staff at the care home near Christchurch Hospital were one of the first to collect their badges along with other members of the Encore Care Homes team across Dorset
