WSU Faculty Senate Voices Support For Opposing Administration's Plan To Subsidize Athletics – Pullman Radio

The Washington State University Faculty Senate voiced support for opposing the administration’s plan to subsidize athletics. WSU administrators plans to ask the regents to approve spending between 2 and 3 million dollars a year on athletics.  The department has been running a multi-million-dollar annual deficit for several years.  Cougar Athletics accumulated debt has reached 120 million dollars and the department has been told they must pay that debt back to the university once they end their annual deficits.
