Why did it get done so quickly? i m reading into it. we ll get to that dirty little story in a second. first, a brand new look at the race for the white house and now a dead heat with four months until election day. our abc news poll just out this morning shows president obama and mitt romney locked in a tie. each at 47%. signs pointing to an epic battle ahead. the poll has some tough news for the president with 63% saying the country is heading in the wrong direction. but interestingly enough, 58% still expect him to win a second term. as the race heats up so does the battle of the campaign ads. here is abc s jonathan carl. reporter: to most of us this is what the country looks like. but to the obama and romney campaigns, it looks like this. almost all of their campaigning in a dozen hotly contested states. and if you follow the money, it really comes done to five states where the two sides and their allies have already spent over ....
