Kind of scenario. as a senator, as secretary of state, i argued strongly for putting women's rights at the center of foreign policy because when women have rights you are more likely to have a middle class, you are more likely to have more stable families, we are more likely to have the opportunity for democracy to take hold and grow. so this for me was not only a moral issue, humanitarian issue, a rights and equality issue, it was a security and strategic issue. i'm going to continue to make that case. there has been progress in china. they have a long way to go as so many other countries do....
