AUGUSTA - A Maine man, who was found guilty of sexually assaulting a four year old, has had his sentence cut nearly in half.
Eric Bard has been sentenced to 28 years in jail — 22 years less than his original sentence.
An improper meeting between the district attorney and judge resulted in the overturning of Eric Bard's 2015 conviction. Now, instead of facing 50 years in prison for more than 21 charges, he is to serve 28.
