VALDOSTA — South Georgia is caught in the classic hot, later afternoon thunderstorm weather cycle, forecasters said.
The National Weather Service in Tallahassee said 7 to 10 inches of rain is forecast to fall throughout Bay County during the next seven days.
The Tallahassee area can expect a wet week as a low-pressure system trudges along the coastline and whisks warm air off the Gulf of Mexico.
The National Weather Service predicts temperatures over 100 degrees for the next three days, and may see a decade-plus record fall.
